Tennessee Vols Add Boy’s T Shirt Design After Mean Girls Bully Him
Tennessee Vols response to bullied boy give a great reason to cheer for them
Tennessee Vols fans know what it is to cheer for their favorite team.
Shoot, anyone who has a favorite team knows how good it feels to put on a t shirt to support them.
That’s what one Florida boy was looking forward to this month.
Laura Synder is a teacher in Tallahassee. She shared how her school was having a college spirit day.
One boy in particular in her class was so excited.
He told Ms. Synder for days how he was going to wear an orange shirt to share his love of the University of Tennessee Volunteers.
She wrote on Facebook how the boy showed up on College Day wearing an orange t shirt and for an extra splash, he had taken a piece of notebook paper and drew a giant “UT” and pinned it his shirt.
He was so excited about it.
That is, until some mean girls teased him at lunch.
About supporting a non-Florida school.
About having a homemade shirt.
The boy came back to Ms. Synder’s room and cried.
She was beside herself.
Without revealing the boy’s name, she took a picture of the shirt, posted the story to Facebook and asked for strangers to help turn this story around.
The school sent a huge box of UT swag!
Boy, have they ever!
And now, the school has announced they will start sharing a special t shirt featuring the boy’s drawing.
