You can also achieve the perfect lines with a beard shaping comb. These combs have straight lines that allow you to have perfect lines especially as it’s so easy to move your hand slightly and ruin your beard.
You can also use a comb to trim your moustache, opt for a comb with wide teeth so you can capture the thicker hairs too. Once you done it once, trimming your beard will be as easy as toasting a slice of bread.
When deciding how long to keep your beard, take into account the structure of your face. In an ideal world, your beard and your jaw should allow you to have a nicely graduated oval shape. If your jaw is square or round, choose to grow a longer beard to elongate your face. If you have an oblong or rectangular face, you’ll want more hair on the sides with just enough hair on your chin. Make sure you apply your beard balms and oils with a bristle beard brush that will help you reach your roots.
Everyday you should comb and brush your beard to remove the knots and to also train and push your hair to grow in a specific direction. This will allow you to maintain a specific shape for your beard.
Love your beard & do what you can. It’s not a huge issue if you can’t trim your beard, as long as you maintain your beard & are proud of it, that’s all that matters. Don’t forget to regularly brush your beard using a bristle beard brush as these are great for maintaining a visually fuller beard.
