Vancouver police seek men who targeted senior in cash loan robbery

Vancouver police are seeking two suspects who allegedly followed a senior into a loan shop and later knocked him to the ground before robbing him.

Const. Steve Addison said the robbery took place on April 28 around 4 p.m. in the Commercial Drive and North Grandview Highway area.

In security footage released Thursday, the 77-year-old victim can be seen at the counter of My Ca$hMart conducting an exchange. Meanwhile, a man in a black and grey sweater can be seen standing in line behind the victim, with an arm on the counter while watching the transaction.

A second man enters the loan shop and stands next to the first man. When the senior notices the two men, he turns his back to them as if to block his transaction from view. As one of the two men leaves to speak on the phone, the senior finishes his transaction — collecting several hundred dollars — and exits the business.
