Taylor Swift Has Been A ‘Continuous Source Of Comfort’ For BFF Selena Gomez Following Her Rehab Stint

Taylor Swift proved to be a great friend to Selena Gomez amid her mental health struggle. That being said, after Selena completed her rehab stint, Taylor was, and continues to be a significant ‘source of comfort’ to her.

At least that is what an insider report claims!

As fans know, Gomez left treatment toward the end of December, and since then, she has been photographed by the paparazzi looking healthy and definitely happier.

She checked herself into a facility following some health problems, hospitalization and a resulting mental breakdown.

‘Selena is in a really good place. She’s taking time for herself and reconnecting with friends and important people in her life. Taylor has always been a constant source of comfort for Selena, and aside from having a great friendship, the two are able to connect on a level that most will never understand,’ the source tells ET.

Selena and Taylor have been friends for no less than a decade and they reconnected on social media not too long ago, when Swift posted a super fun pic featuring the two of them on her Instagram account.

As for what caused their friendship to become so strong, the insider explained that ‘They are two of the most famous people in the world and deal with things normal people don’t have to think about. At the end of the day, the most important thing for Selena is to be happy.’

Last fall, Selena Gomez was hospitalized because of some complications of her Lupus disease.

Having to stay in the hospital without anything to do and without really improving as the days went by, really took a toll on her.

The anxiety and panic attacks caused by being there led to an emotional breakdown, and that is when she realized she also needed to take care of her mental health.
