The 35-year-old Greatest Dancer judge has fired back at trolls who accused the star of having work done to her face.
Cheryl took to her Twitter to defend the pictures that surfaced last year, which appeared to show the Girls Aloud alum sporting a notably different look, when she arrived at the Capital Radio studios.
Tweeting to her 6.1M followers, the Love Made Me Do It singer alerted fans to the “pillow crease” on her skin, insisting it was down to a lack of sleep, as opposed to undergoing the knife.
She said: “The truth was, I had one hour’s sleep that night, which is never good.”
The mother-of-one says she was looking out for fans’ reactions following her return to music.
“It went a bit far and all the sudden, it was 3am,” the brunette insisted.
“I went to bed and got up one hour later.”
Cheryl’s youthful glow on her outing to the radio studios also sparked fans’ speculation she had possibly undergone cosmetic procedures.
But Cheryl attributed this to having pale skin. She also thought the wig she wore on the day helped add fuel to the fire in her followers’ minds that she had undergone cosmetic surgery.
She explained: “I put on a wig – the short bob was a wig from the music video.”
The singer added: “No one had seen the bob, but this is how I’ve always looked.”
