Wow!!! Still catching my breath from a fantastic finish in the game of the year, as the Houston Rockets defeat the defending champion Golden State Warriors. After a huge missed call by the officials where Kevin Durant was clearly out of bounds as he saved the ball to Steph Curry for the go-ahead basket; James Harden hit the game-winning shot of the season. The reigning MVP finished with 44 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds for his fifth triple-double of the season and his eleventh career 40+ point triple-double. It was also his ninth-straight game with 35 points and 5 assists, an NBA record. With impossible step-back threes and incredible bounce passes, he reminded the basketball world how good he really is. “The work. Yesterday I was in the same spot shooting the same shots.” Harden said. Without Chris Paul and Eric Gordon the Rockets seemed to be outmatched early on, but they stayed in the game and forced it into OT where the beard took care of the rest. Houston felt like they had a chance last year to win it all if CP3 wouldn’t have gotten hurt. This year, they want to leave nothing to chance.
